From the floor to the code
Operations manager turned product developer.
My starting point was a high-volume UK manufacturer running on WooCommerce. The ecommerce platform handled orders well, but the physical operation still needed its own way to understand what had to be made, where information belonged and what had already happened.
Those gaps led to internal tools, then to products that could be useful outside one business. Plugins.Dog is the name I use to publish that work.
I am interested in the unglamorous parts of software: the queue that stays understandable on a busy day, the label that reaches the correct printer and the edge case that does not create an afternoon of manual repair.
Current focus
Making the hand-offs visible.
ProdQueue is released and continues to be shaped by production use. ProdLabels is the active research and development project: a route from reliable WooCommerce data to the right Zebra printer, with enough history to explain what happened.
What belongs here
Plugins.Dog holds the developer notes, system diagrams and decisions behind the products. It is intentionally not a combined sales or support portal; each product site owns those jobs.
What I pay attention to
Hand-offs, repeated decisions, exception paths and the moments where people stop trusting the system. The useful brief is often hiding in the workaround.
